\u201cWhat happens if there\u2019s bad weather?\u201d I asked, shoving my phone into my pocket. <\/p>\n

The guy just smiled wider, if that were possible. \u201cNo service.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The town was so isolated up in the northern part of the state that deer and bear and shit were less than a hundred feet away. For a city boy like me, I had to admit it was unnerving. <\/p>\n

Wild animals that could hurt you were right there<\/em>, and these folks weren\u2019t fazed in the slightest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
