The 4th (and most recent) Thursday Murder Club mystery finds Stephen succumbing to his battle with dementia.<\/p>\n

Stephen doesn\u2019t always know who Bogdan is these days, but he likes his calmness. He fell asleep on Bogdan\u2019s shoulder the other day, and Bogdan missed a weightlifting session because he refused to disturb him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The group has tried to befriend Mervyn (who Joyce’s current crush) and it doesn’t go well.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou must miss her terribly,\u201d says Ibrahim. \u201cWhen did you last see her?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWe haven\u2019t, just as yet, met,\u201d says Mervyn, scraping tartar sauce off a scampo. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou haven\u2019t met?\u201d asks Joyce. \u201cThat seems unusual?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cJust been unlucky,\u201d says Mervyn. \u201cShe had a flight canceled, then she had some cash stolen, and now there\u2019s the passport thing. The course of true love never did run smooth.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Stephen’s friend Kuldesh is murdered in a seemingly senseless way, and the group looks into it.<\/p>\n

Donna spots a mobile phone wedged behind a radiator. She wonders why Kuldesh hadn\u2019t taken it with him, then remembers he is eighty.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As expected, the group looks into it and meets many unsavory characters.<\/p>\n

Dom points at Ibrahim. \u201cI don\u2019t know your name, but you\u2019re the guy who goes to see Connie Johnson at Darwell Prison. Word is you\u2019re a Moroccan cocaine importer. That true?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cNo comment,\u201d says Ibrahim. Has Ron ever seen him look so proud? <\/p>\n

\u201cYou,\u201d says Dom, nodding his head toward Elizabeth. \u201cNo idea who you are, but you\u2019ve got a gun in your bag. Badly hidden.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not hiding it,\u201d says Elizabeth. <\/p>\n

\u201cNow do me,\u201d says Joyce. <\/p>\n

Dom looks at Joyce. \u201cYou look like you\u2019ve fallen in with a bad crowd.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I continue to identify strongly with Ibrahim.<\/p>\n

Wherever he is, and whatever he is doing, the primary thought in Ibrahim\u2019s mind is always \u201cHow will I get home?\u201d With one\u2019s car impounded? Impossible.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Truly adore him.<\/p>\n

He downloaded the menu for her, but he has not printed it out, because you have to start somewhere. Ibrahim has stuck a Post-it note on both his printer and his laminator saying What would Greta Thunberg do?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
