\u201cLike your big head could fit,\u201d Cooper said. \u201cAnd twenty-seven hours? It\u2019s 127 hours! What do you think, he sawed his own arm off after one day?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cYou want to make it twenty-seven minutes, Dayton?\u201d Park said. <\/p>\n

Cooper swore at him viciously but the handful of neurons still firing logically knew Park was talking shit to distract him. Since he now wanted to punch his partner instead of the rock, he supposed it was probably working.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s not my type because I\u2019m gay.\u201d <\/p>\n

The silence was sharp. Vaguely Cooper was aware his mouth was hanging open. He shut it quickly. Then opened it again to say, \u201cOh, that\u2019s nice.\u201d <\/p>\n

That\u2019s nice<\/em>? Good job, Dayton. Christ, so much for getting better at picking up on the little clues. Did that mean… Could Park actually have been interested in him back at the metro? <\/p>\n

Cooper couldn\u2019t think of what else to say and went with the next thing that popped into his head. \u201cMe, too.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
