I love that Cayla–and Coopers interactions with her feel true. I mean,<\/p>\n

For the next hour, Cooper managed to avoid his father, and chatted with Cayla, which mostly consisted of listening to her read the informational placards to him at every exhibit, peppered with what he could only assume were completely made up facts like \u201cThe beaver\u2019s incisors keep growing all his life and his favorite color is purple.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThat makes sense\u201d was all Cooper ever seemed required to say, and Cayla would nod as if satisfied at his gullibility.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And Cooper’s struggles with the wedding planning are feel real and try–although a bit different from the worries and issues most of us have.<\/p>\n

“I keep researching weddings, but most of the blogs and articles and goddamn mood boards aren\u2019t made for me either. No brides here. Groom\u2019s party? I don\u2019t have two friends to rub together. Choose a location significant to your relationship? Most of ours are crime scenes.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I do love the single point-of-view for this series. It works so well, knowing Cooper’s quirks and fears and worries and seeing Oliver as some perfect being. <\/p>\n

\u201cSeriously, I wasn\u2019t that new. And he wasn\u2019t my boss or anything.\u201d Distantly, Cooper recognized that if someone else were the one saying this to him, he would definitely still look as concerned as Park did.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
