Lord Clifford regarded me with exaggerated patience. \u201cNo, Mrs. Holloway. We gave the money I borrowed to Dougherty. We had to. To convince him that a larger investment would be sound.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But Kat cares for Lady Cynthia, so she helps Lord Clifford–despite the trouble it causes her.<\/p>\n

I admit I was keeping an eye out for a new Kat Holloway novella. There were two last winter, so I was hoping we’d get one this year. I love short stories and novellas, and I love these tales that let us spend a little more time with the characters.<\/p>\n
