What I’ve got is a headache as annoying as a cruise ship full of sugared-up four-year-olds.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“So you’re saying I should’ve been more mature and ignored the fact that he hurt me?” He glanced from one face to the other, Auntie Hestia’s managing stern and sympathetic at once, and Dite’s simply amused. <\/p>\n

“Yes,” they answered in unison.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Every pantheon had its trickster, at least one, some more malevolent than others, though they all had their reasons for independence and playing one side against the other. In Hermes’s case, it manifested in diplomacy. In Loki’s, it simply meant he had his own agenda. In Set’s, there was an almost pathological need to disrupt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“I’ve enjoyed reading fiction ever since humans began writing their stories down.” <\/p>\n

“See, that kinda made me sad. When they started doing that.” Azeban sat on his haunches like a proper raccoon, gesturing at the shelves. “All these stories are stuck. They can’t change. When humans used to tell each other stories, stuff changed all the time. It was exciting to hear what they’d do with a story. Now they write it down, and that’s it.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
