That was appropriate. It meant the medicine and the therapy were working.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>They\u2019re working animals, like guide dogs. And we don\u2019t distract working animals, remember?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, Aria had spent two whole weeks obsessed with guide dogs (including trying to convince Vivian to make her a vest to wear so she could be a dog in public and still count as being dressed). <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What is marvelous about this story? First, it is very pro therapy.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI mean, I\u2019ve got everything, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you?\u201d Dr. Kumar gave her a look, the one that said that the psychiatrist had noticed the pause and realized it meant there had been a lot of answers discarded before Vivian had said something out loud.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And diverse characters, including a stay-at-home dad who writes romances books.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m a combat mage,\u201d he said, looking away and fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. \u201cI\u2019ve done some\u2026 stuff. And I might have to again some day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh.\u201d She wasn\u2019t even sure what to picture there, but she was willing to bet his nightmares looked a lot like hers. Maybe worse. \u201cSo right now you like happy endings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExactly.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And things you wouldn&#8217;t think about when dealing with a kid with unexpected needs.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOK, into the tub. No, back to human form, we only have enough shampoo for your human hair. And remember, we use towels, not shaking off, inside.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And the emails from the school.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Mar 7 3:31 PM<br \/>\nShow and tell next week!
