A Hard Day’s Knight<\/a><\/em> (2011) Simon R. Green<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Walker is dead. Long live Walker. <\/p>\n

Because now John Taylor is Walker, and now it is his job to keep order (of a sorts) in Nightside.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for him, someone has decided it’s time for Excalibur to make a reappearance in the world–and he needs to be the one to wield it.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough, they’re right. John Taylor already turned down power when it was offered, doesn’t want the power of being Walker, but like the power of being Walker, he can’t think of anyone else who would be up to the responsibility.<\/p>\n

This was a good story, but I can’t say it was as good as previous stories. The dialog was perfect as always:<\/p>\n

Julien suddenlt recognized the gold pocket-watch I was still holding in my hand. “How did you get that?”<\/p>\n

“Walker left it to me in his will.”<\/p>\n

“We haven’t even found his will yet!”<\/p>\n

I shrugged. “Details, details…”<\/p>\n

Julien sighed. “And you wonder why nobody trusts you…”<\/p>\n

“No, I don’t. I don’t give a damn.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But I really have to wonder where else Simon Green can take John Taylor. After all, he’s now Walker.
