Leo\u2019s eyebrows shot straight up. \u201cWas it his uncle\u2019s dying wish to reenact a radio drama?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s too kind to hold a grudge about such a thing even if he ought to,\u201d Camilla went on. <\/p>\n

\u201cDaresay you\u2019re right.\u201d Leo, on the other hand, would happily carry all James\u2019s grudges for him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You could invite a snake into your home and that didn\u2019t mean it was a good idea. Not that Leo had any intention of leaving. He was too selfish for that. He wasn\u2019t nearly noble enough to walk away.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI mean,\u201d he went on, \u201cI know you like me best. Which makes me sound like a petulant child, and I do wish you\u2019d say something or that perhaps a tree would fall on my head to shut me up because\u2014\u201d <\/p>\n

Leo pulled him behind a high garden wall and took his face between cold, dry hands. \u201cTo say that I like you best may be understating the case.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
