This is the conclusion to Pip’s story. He’s lived with Charles and Gavin long enough to regain his trust in people, and he is slowly, finally, come to trust himself.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not going anywhere. There\u2019s no hurry, Pip.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bertie so rarely said his name that Pip took a moment to consider his words. \u201cI know,\u201d he said at last. He heaved a sigh. \u201cYou\u2019ve been so patient with me. And I\u2019m sure you know how much I appreciate it. But,\u201d he said, setting his cup aside. \u201cI wish I didn\u2019t need your patience so very much.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gerry and Basil have just gotten married, so the spell shop is closed for a week while the two go on their honeymoon, and Seb is spending every day (all day) with Laurence before he has to head back to London.<\/p>\n

Charles and Gavin were waiting up for him in their usual manner\u2014which is to say, they were trying to look like they weren\u2019t waiting up for him, and acted surprised that he had come home at all.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is a small, slow story. It’s Pip spending time with Bertie as they work on a project together, and slowly coming to build new memories.<\/p>\n
