Only a couple times do I think I noticed the added material. <\/p>\n<p>Since this was a kindle book, it was easy to mark things I wanted to remember for later. Here are some of them:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Hey,&#8221; said Shadow. &#8220;Huginn or Muninn, or whoever you are.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The bird turned, head tipped, suspiciously, on one side, and it stared at him with bright eyes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Say &#8216;Nevermore,'&#8221; said Shadow.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Fuck you,&#8221; said the raven.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;You&#8217;re fucked up, mister. But you&#8217;re cool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I believe that&#8217;s what they call the human condition,&#8221; said Shadow.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Shadow&#8217;s telephone rang.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yeah?&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s no way to answer the phone,&#8221; growled Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I get my telephone connected I&#8217;ll answer it politely,&#8221; said Shadow.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>(I)t&#8217;s just the dark. You mustn&#8217;t be afraid of the dark.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not,&#8221; said Shadow, &#8220;I&#8217;m afraid of the people in the dark.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I actually marked many more passages, but those are some of the shorter passages. Of course, I wonder weather anyone who has not (at this point) read &#8220;American Gods&#8221; would do so based on those notes.
