Evil Diva<\/a> Anthology Volume 1<\/a><\/em> (2013) Peter Menotti, Joe Cashman, Stephen Hood, Team Diva<\/p>\n

\"evildivacover\"<\/a>Last week I discovered Evil Diva comics<\/a>, and me being who I am, I went ahead and ordered Volume 1, so as to support the artists.<\/p>\n

I have Volume II or pre-order, and the comic in my RSS feed.<\/p>\n

Diva Beelze is your typical devil starting middle school, except for one thing–she has an overwhelming desire to do good deeds, which is (to put it mildly) frowned upon for devils.<\/p>\n

But she can’t help herself, and so the school counselor finds a way to help her out.<\/p>\n

This first volume sees Diva starting middle school and running for class president. Obviously, the online comic is much further along than that.<\/p>\n

There were a couple issues with the printed comic–on two occasions a panel was repeated, both in the last story, following Virgil and how he recruits Loki, which was interesting, but more roughly drawn than the main story following Diva.<\/p>\n

Sadly, it looks like the comic has been slow updating, but there’s no reason you can’t read and catch up, because it really is quite fun.
