So points all around for Adam.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s good that things are okay with Samuel.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>you can\u2019t marry someone to fix him, even if you love them.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Marsilla has discovered that Mercy killed not one, but two of her vampires, which means that Mercy is now on her hit list, which could mean war between the local Seethe and the local Pack, since Mercy is part of Adam&#8217;s pack.<\/p>\n<p>She learns this because Stefan lands almost dead in Mercy&#8217;s living room.<\/p>\n<p>There is a lot to like about this story. I thought that the work of Mercy&#8217;s recovery was particularly well done, although, like the events in the previous book, it&#8217;s at times difficult to read.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;m not quite sure about the part of the story that gets Mercy out of the tri-cities. The parts with Marsilla make sense to me, but the parts further north? Not so much.<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s still well worth reading.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The old coal chute with a box of old blankets placed near the end. I stuck my head in the metal tunnel and sniffed, but only to confirm my suspicions : Chad had been sliding down the coal chute for fun. His eyes peered worriedly out from under his too-long hair. It didn\u2019t look dangerous to me\u2014 it looked fun. More fun if no one else knew&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mercy is very good with Chad.
