However, events from the past have come back to haunt them, when a thrown rock with the note \u201cYou\u2019ll pay for your crimes\u201d is thrown a Suzanne as they are alighting from a carriage.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is that each member of the household assumes the note and rock were directed at them. <\/p>\n<p>Although only a novella, I quite enjoyed checking in with the charaters I first met in The Paris Affair.
