So although you CAN read this before <em>The Berkeley Square Affair<\/em>, you&#8217;ll get more out of it if you read it after.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple passages that struck me this time through:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I realized that giving up something I wanted, to spite Father, was just another way of letting him control my life.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Children knew how to make the most of the present.
