Unspoken<\/a><\/em> (2015) C.C. Hunter<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Unspoken-Shadow-Falls\"<\/a>This is the conclusion to Della Tsang’s Shadow Falls story arc. I presume we’ll soon get a Miranda arc, but as she’s my least favorite character of the three, I’m not sure how excited I’ll be about that.<\/p>\n

Della is still not sure how she feels about Chase, although she’s been attracted to him since they first met, but she still feels betrayed by his dishonesty and secrecy, and mixed in with all those complicated feelings is the fact her father will soon be going to trial for the murder of his sister.<\/p>\n

I really like Della–she’s complicated and waspish (or bitchy, if you prefer) but she’s also strong and loyal and afraid of being hurt (a fear she hides underneath her bitchy exterior).<\/p>\n

Her bikini would reveal more than her bra and panties, but because it wasn\u2019t a bathing suit, she felt more vulnerable.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I love that–it’s so very complicated and funny and true.<\/p>\n

I think that Chase’s position was helped by the short story that told of his turning and the loss of his family. It explains both his loyalty to Eddie and how he developed into who he is. (Losing one’s family would shape on in a terrible way.)<\/p>\n

I also very much appreciated finally learning why Della’s father was so cold to her–and how discovering his long lost brother (and Della her uncle) also changed things.<\/p>\n

I’m sorry to see Della’s story-arc ending, but did enjoy it.
