\"\"<\/a>This is the second volume of Thor, Goddess of Thunder, and I’m finding that my lack of grounding in the Marvel mythos and history is starting to become a problem. It felt like there was a lot going on that I missed–even with the annoying backstory bits.<\/p>\n

So there were some things that I really liked–such as Freyja getting pissed off at Odin for being an ass, and generally being pretty awesome.<\/p>\n

However, those bits were offset by things like this:<\/p>\n

Really? In the middle of a battle we dedicate a third of a page to saying Thor is hot? That’s… silly.<\/p>\n

It’s like they had to stick that in there just to offset all the “girly stuff” or something.<\/p>\n

And the second half of the book–after the big reveal as to who The Goddess of Thunder is when she’s at home, I just… wasn’t at all interested in most of it–although I did like the bit where Thor’s granddaughters try to cheer him up by recreating “earth” animals. <\/p>\n

So, this was… fine.<\/p>\n
