We had stepped on each other\u2019s toes and smacked one another in the face with an errant hand too many times to count.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>More importantly, her brother points out that she needs to come to terms with her father, and how he didn&#8217;t protect her from Sir Anthony.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(T)hen Trevor spoke. \u201cYou always go to Mother\u2019s grave.\u201d Our eyes met for the first time since he\u2019d joined me, and I frowned. \u201cWhen you come here,\u201d he clarified. \u201cYou always go to Mother\u2019s grave. You seem to barely be able to look at Father\u2019s.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be silly,\u201d I scoffed uncomfortably. \u201cMother\u2019s is just closer to the tree, and thus out of the wind.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it\u2019s not always windy when you visit here.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrue. And I stand before Father\u2019s grave then.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you don\u2019t.\u201d His voice was gentle, but certain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I like how it takes her time to come to terms with her past, and how her family gently but firmly pushes her to do so.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEveryone\u2019s got their hurts. No matter who they are. It\u2019s easy teh forget that when we\u2019re no\u2019 willin\u2019 teh look too deep.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I also enjoyed watching Kiera and Gage&#8217;s relationship progress.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But why have I never seen you dance at the dinners and other soirees I\u2019ve attended with you?\u201d I glanced back at him with a sardonic lift to my eyebrows. \u201cNo one asked.\u201d I turned to survey the crowd surrounding the dancers inside the ballroom, not wanting to see pity in his eyes.
