No Friends For You!
So, after two invitations in less than a month, and (I must admit) against my better judgment, I finally joined Facebook.
It is nice that I can keep in contact with people after they’re gone, such as graduated students who I’ve worked with. It’s also interesting that I found several family members, including two of my cousins, one of whom is in high school. I almost feel like I shouldn’t be looking.
But the best thing was check out the site today and seeing this message:

Yes, I have no friends in Morgantown. That strikes me as particularly hilarious, and makes me laugh every time I see it.
And now I fear it’s only a matter of time before I end up joining MySpace–so it too can tell me I have no friends in Morgantown!

I’ll be your friend. Now my address is Morgantown, but I live outside of the city limits. Does that still count?

In this case, it’s definitely quality over zip code.

{and yet more testing. please excuse my using your site as a lab.}

Gina, I think you would have Morgantown as your “network” so you’d be good there.
Charles, No problem with the testing. Now *I* know what you were getting spam-trapped for. :) (Because I of course had to look, and see what got caught and what didn’t!)
