Random (but not really)

Reading Total So Far

I’ve read 78 books so far this year. Not including schoolbooks and cookbooks.

This also doesn’t count the books I’ve started and dropped for something else. (Michael Jecks The Merchant’s Partner, Stephen Lawhead Byzantium, Bite, David Liss A Conspiracy of Paper, Takashi Maisouka Cloud of Sparrows, John Matthews The Song of Taliesin. I haven’t abandoned these books completely though. Except Bite. That really wasn’t to my taste except for the Charlaine Harris story.)

For my information only…

Monthly Totals:
Jan 15
Feb 6
Mar 6
Apr 5
May 14
June 17
July 15

You can definitely tell when the semester starts and ends.

What!! SEVENTY-EIGHT?! And it’s only August. Wow, Meesh. That’s beyond impressive. I am sure I haven’t read seventy books in ten years. Not fiction anyway. Including ones I’ve only skimmed or part-read. That pace will change tho. I’m giving up tv for a year and going back to readin. Next year’s resolution list will have “read 20 books (of fiction)” on it somewhere. Gotta start off slow ;-)

I was thinking 78 was kinda low for me!

Seriously though, when you drop TV, you’ll find that you have a lot more time to read and do all kinds of other things. And if you want any recommendations, lemme know. Though I primarily read fantsay and mysteries, I do occasionally branch out.

Actually, I’ll recommend something right now: Lian Hearn’s Tales of the Otori is REALLY good.

    Really very good. Excellent even!
