The Bridge design won the state quarter contest!
This morning on the radio I heard Governor Wise quoted as saying that he was surprised by the number of people who voted for the quarter.
Well of course we voted! Once we saw there was a possibility we’d end up with the awful “quilt” design, we knew something had to be done, and fast.

Yeah, that quilt design WAS rather fugly, wasn’t it?

It was hideous.
We’re thinking that the committee that chose the two finalists thought: Hey! We really like the bridge design! Let’s choose the most horrid one as its competition, so it wins!
Or something like that…
