Today’s Presentation Walkby
The History of Pain
I’m beginning to wonder precisely what they are teaching these dental students.
(First person with the appropriate response gets bonus points)
ADDENDUM the First:
Here’s Erin’s comment, because it’s too good for you to miss.
To be a success!
♫â€â€˜Oh, that hurts! Wait! I’m not numb!’
‘Eh, Shut Up! Open Wide! Here I Come!’♫♫â€I am your dentist.
And I enjoy the career that I picked.
I’m your dentist.
And I get off on the pain I inflict!â€â™«***
♫â€Your temperament’s wrong for the priesthood,
And teaching would suit you still less.
Son, be a dentist.
You’ll be a success.â€â™«
ADDENDUM the Second:
By the way, my initial response to seeing “The History of Pain” was “Life is pain highness, anyone who tells you differently is selling something.”
My second response was “NOT TO FIFTY!“

(still laughing)
OK, that wasn’t what I was thinking, but you are full of win anyway.
(giggle)

Hehe, glad you liked it, I had fun looking up the musical note symbols.
Okay, then Sean’s vote is for “I taught her to win” or “I taught her how to win.” We can’t quite remember how it goes…

Okay, was that his comment in response to you being full of win?
In which, I’s say it would be slightly obscene to say that he caused you to be full of win.
If it’s in response to my post, I’d have to say: wha?

There’s a scene in Buffy, the episode where the Council comes to test Buffy: Quentin is yelling commands in Japanese and she doesn’t understand it, where he asks Giles “What precisely have you been teaching her?” And Giles responds with the line mentioned above. “I taught her to win.” (all quotes are paraphrased.)
Hehe. But the next idea we had was from the Princess Bride, we just couldn’t make it work with the “what precisely are they teaching” line. :D

Ah, I was only thinking about “The History of Pain” not my commentary on “The History of Pain”
That’ll teach me to be snarky!
