Grass Jelly Drink
I haven’t had much to say recently. Between recovering from the visit of the 3 1/2 year old, and the sudden onset of an icky cold, I just haven’t had much to say. So…
If you were bored, here are the top ten things to be found on my website:

Yup. Other people besides me don’t know that puncuation is actually spelled punctuation.
And if you’re really really bored, there’s always Corn Cam or the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices (both old favorites)

When I first noticed this site it was mostly about school, but now that I see you’re a reader I’ll have to check back more often.
If you enjoy fantasy about religion you might want to read James Morrow. The public library downtown has several of his books. Starting with Towing Jehovah, his series about humanity’s response to the gigantic dead body of God falling into the ocean is very entertaining. His single novels are also worth checking out. He wrote a book about the daughter of God that culminates in the burning of Atlantic City. He makes some interesting statements about organized religion
Pratchett is excellent for summer reading. Especially when you have a cold and don’t want to think too hard. Have you read Night Watch yet? What did you think of it in terms of the other books in the series? Pretty heavy for a comedy writer, I thought.
Hope the weather stays warm for a while. Enjoy your 4th.

I really like Terry Pratchett–I came to him because I loved Good Omen which he wrote with Neil Gaiman. (One of my favorite books.) I particularly like his books because, despite being comedies, they’re quite smart, and they’re also often quite pointed in what they are making fun of.
The books about the night watch are some of my favorite, although Death and the Librarian are still two of my favorite characters.
I’ll have to check out James Morrow if I get a change (but I have to admit that my backlog of reading is pretty high at this point.)
And yeah, I’ll be doing a lot of reading this summer, since once school starts back up in the fall I can’t afford the distraction.
And now I’m going to lie down and read some more.
