April Flowers

April 6 Flowers 001

The above tree is on my walk home. Unfortunately it was very windy, so the branches kept moving, which made getting a clear picture somewhat difficult.

Flower Pr0n

It was pretty earlier in the day–not so much by the time I walked home.

Yes! It’s returned! And with luck, this season will not be sidelined due to injury.

Let’s Get this Party Started!

Grandmom turns 93 on Sunday, so in the run up, she’s receiving flowers.

PAD: Last Rose of September

September Rose

Another picture taken with my camera phone; I liked the way the red of the rose stood out in the dreary greyness of the day.

Sunday Flower Pr0n

Wandered around the downtown campus this afternoon (pictures of that tomorrow). The light was terrible, but I enjoyed the walk anyway.

Sunday Flower Pr0n

Yeah, my garden is still a mess and I am resigned that it will remain so until next year. But there are still a few bright spots of beauty.

Monday Flower Pr0n

My garden is still a mess, and probably will be for the remainder of the year. I’m still not 100% yet, it’s too hot, and we’ve been traveling too much.

Luckily, I’ve done so much work over the past several years, much of the garden is self-maintaining, and doing well with benign neglect.

More Vacation-y Stuff

Monday we took Jeri & Vince to Cooper’s Rock. Since the weather was hazy, hot, and humid, we waited until late afternoon to go, and even so still didn’t stay long.

Despite the heat, it was gorgeous, and we had a good time. The only sad part was that because I’m still limping along, jumping and climbing (even just a teeny bit of climbing) were right out.
