Headlines, Part the First

Once again, the UCF is playing games.

Jeri came up with the idea of writing headlines for the members of the UCF.

Of course you don’t have to be a member of the UCF to do so, and are thus welcome to post your headlines about me here.

Because I’m a difficult person, I’ll be posting my stories/headlines here. Things are pretty busy, but I’ve been writing snippets all morning whenever a have a few moments of free time (and I do mean moments, it’s been pretty busy). I’ll post them when I get a batch done.

And here’s Jeri’s headline for me:

Earning a sizeable reward from the FBI for spotting and turning in a top-ten most wanted fugitive annoying users in her computer lab, Michelle recently took a leave of absence to prepare for and win the the Ghirardelli Chocolate Bake-off. She was awarded the Mythopoeic Fantasy award for her novel Toasters in the Night, and notably thanked her friends in the UCF for inspiration and non-linear ideas.

Questions from the Peanut Gallery

OK, since I’m still running low on creativity, I’ll begin to answer the questions that were posted to me. I’ll probably keep taking questions through the week, so feel free to ask other questions in the comments.

Nathan asks:

Where’s my toaster?
Last I heard, MWT had one of your toasters, but it wasn’t the toaster, unless that was a ploy to throw everyone off. My guess would be that Jim took the toaster after killing Eric.

So I’d march right up to Jim and demand my toaster back if I were you.

Alternately, John has visited you twice. And you know how those Pitt graduates can be.

Who’s that hiding behind your couch?
Kat and Kit. Duh.

What’s your position on Graham Crackers?
Good smeared with with peanut butter and dipped in milk.

Yum!

John asks:

Just how confused was the West Virginian in Jefferson County whom I noticed had set the horn in his bondo and primer-decorated truck to play “Dixie”?

Very. He’s obviously one of the fools who saw the Dukes of Hazaard movie and thought it was not only good, but also worth emulating. (A friend watched a neighbor’s son hand paint his jeep after watching that movie.)

y’all realize y’all came out on top of the Recent Unpleasantness Between the States, right?

Sometimes we have to remind some of our souther brethren of this fact.

Rather forcefully.

I know West Virginia is where the men are men, but just how scared do the sheep run?

Actually, last month I almost wrecked the car as we drove past the University farm, because I was trying to see the cute baby sheep.

So not very.

Just when are you going to drink that soup?

When I’m starving to death and there is absolutely nothing left to eat. I’m thinking it might work well in an emergency pack in the car.

Geekiness Galore

I think I woke up this morning with a chocolate hangover. However the molten lava chocolate cakes were AWESOME and totally worth the sugar crash.

I sent out the address book. If you ‘d like to add more information to your entry (like birthday or something) e-mail me that information I’ll send out the address book again later this week or early next week.

And my birthday gift to myself? A color photo printer. I can’t wait to start playing with it! Think about all the awesome flower pr0n I can now share with non-geek friends!

Addresses

I seem to be in charge of the UCF address book. However, I am missing the addresses of some of you.

So if you’d like your address shared with the rest of us crazy people, send me your address, and then I can send out the addresses to everyone who wants ’em.

Lemme know in the comments if you want the address book and if an Excel file is an acceptable format for the addresses.

If you’d like your email address added to the list, e-mail me.

God of Tapeworms

Yes, Eric is a fan of the God of Tapeworms.

Please, ask him how much he adores tapeworms.

UCF Logo?

I was trying to figure out how to do a couple things today in Photoshop (I had a class this morning and got some new questions) so I made a UCF logo while playing.

I still find text/type frustrating, but at least I understand it a bit more now.
