House Work 2006

We finally replaced the kitchen backstop tile, which means that after only four and a half years, we've done everything we set out to do to the kitchen.

Putting the tile up was far easier than I had expected it to be, and excluding wiping down the tile after grouting, I rather enjoyed it. And to be honest, if we'd actually had a flat surface behind the tile, the float would have done a better job removing the excess grout, which would have made the wiping easier.

I also finally finished the entertainment center, which looks quite nice I think.

In these pictures you can see four of the nine bookcases that are upstairs. The brown bookcases contain hardback non-fiction and novels. The white bookcases contain fantasy books from Neil Gaiman to Sarah Zettel, plus, most of our hardback fantasy books.

Note also in the middle pictures, Kit the demon cat, sitting in front of the kitty television.
