I get a LOT of sale books for the kindle, so in self-preservation I’m learning to give up on books I’m not enjoying.

This was one of those books I should have loved, since it’s a mystery AND romance.

“Girls cannot join the Foreign Office.”

“No, Roselie, girls are never spies.”

“Grow up to be a diplomat? I fear, child, that is impossible.”

Both characters are spies! There is danger and adventure!

But I realized I didn’t care at all what happened to either of the characters, so I moved on.
