Love Language (2024) Jax Calder

Dominic and Ashton have shared an office for three-and-a-half years. Despite the fact that much of their conversation consists of insults and griping, all of Ash’s friends insist he has a crush on Dominic.
“You must be the most annoying person on the planet,” Dominic says. I ignore him. Because Dominic says something along those lines at least twice a day. I once had a tally chart running to track his most frequent insults until he caught wind of it and started coming up with the weirdest insults just to skew the data. On the plus side, I’m sure not many people have been called a malevolent aardvark by their colleague.
I liked the back-and-forth and insults.
“Apparently, you’re my liaison for the product launch, and I’m supposed to come to you with my issues?” He quirks an eyebrow.
“Yes, it was decided you needed a minder, and I volunteered as tribute,”
…
He snorts. “I can totally turn it into a dystopian experience if you want me to.”
“Every day I spend in an office with you is a dystopian experience,” I counter.
Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all I enjoyed about it.
