
Amusingly, what made me look up was because I could hear the clicking thing they use to keep birds from hanging out in the letters.
Either this bird is deaf, or they need a new clicky thing.

Michael noticed this one–the water isn’t frozen solid, but it’s frozen enough the quarter and penny are sitting on top of the thin layer of ice.
It’s rained all day; the pond is quite different today.


In other news, a rainy day tends to make for a dreary picture.

Tom has been playing with leaf shadows, so I’ve been looking myownself on my walk home at leaves and shadows.
I’ve seen lots and lots of fascinating shadows, but haven’t seen anything specific (like his Arc de Triomphe) but then I decided just liking the shadows should be enough, since (to me at least) they are fascinating whether they look like something to me or not. (I always sucked at the game where you have to figure out what clouds look like.)

Sadly, the portion of Anne‘s vacation that involved hanging out with us has ended, but we had a lot of fun.

Tuesday, Anne‘s last full day in Morgantown, we were surprised by absolutely beautiful weather, so we decided to hike around the Arboretum.

I’m slowly (slowly!) become less self-conscious about pulling out my camera/phone and taking a picture. Today, I loved the look of the clouds as I was walking home.
