Rivers of London: Here Be Dragons (2024) Ben Aaronovitch, James Swallow and Andrew Cartmel

Here Be DragonsI give up.

I thought it was the story lines about Bev’s sisters I didn’t care for.

That wasn’t it.

Here Be Dragons
Or the rendings of Peter and Nightingale that made them look anorexic and over-muscled at the same time.

OK, that was a problem, but it wasn’t the problem.

Here Be Dragons PanelBecause I love seeing more of Guleed.

And the glimpses of Molly outside of Peter’s POV.

And bits of Nightingale’s backstory.

Here Be DragonsAnd I loved Abigail’s novella.

But these comics? After Detective Stories, I read them because I felt like I had to, but I haven’t enjoyed them.

They’ve been a slog–and one I kept putting off.

So I’m going to stop trying.
