[Never] Feed the Crows (2023) Jennifer Cody (Corvin’s Crows #1)
It’s Amos’s second year on campus, and he has a great roommate and is doing well in his classes but hasn’t made many friends except for his roommate–and the crows.
Honestly, I don’t even know how it happened, but one day I realized that I spent more time feeding the crows than I did with actual humans, and then some of the crows started following me around— And now I’m that weird student who got adopted by a couple of crows, and everyone who sees me knows who I am, and if they don’t, they get freaked out by my friends.
Honestly, I almost stopped reading this when I realized the romance was going to be between a student and a professor. That is a dynamic I really dislike. But when it was made explicit Amos was never going to take another class from Dr. Bloom again, I decided to keep going.
Things I liked: Brigs, the world building, the crows.
Things I didn’t like: Student/Teacher dynamic and all the boinking and thinking about boinking.
The second part of that is all me. I just find boinking boring.
