Beware the Kitten Holy (2015)

Beware the Kitten Holy (2015) Noelle Stevenson, Shannon Watters, Brooke A Allen

LumberjanesApparently, if I'm going to pull out my reading glasses, I'm going to go ahead and read a bunch of comics.

Friendship to the max! Jo, April, Mal, Molly and Ripley are five best pals determined to have an awesome summer together…and they're not gonna let any insane quest or an array of supernatural critters get in their way!

This is a comic for younger readers (10 and up).

The five girls have adventures, drive their poor counselor mad, and generally get into trouble.

It's a story of friendship and adventure and Young Lady Power to the MAX.

It also has hilarious "cursing" like "what the junk?" and "HOLY MAE JEMISON!!" and "WHERE THE PHILLIS WHEATLEY WERE YOU?"

But, as good as it was, it wasn't really my thing.

I'd actually picked this up a couple months ago, but put it back down because I wasn't in the mood for it. I thought perhaps I just wasn't in the mood for comics, and so put it back down.

Well, having read several other comics I quite liked, I decided this just isn't for me.

It's excellent, and I'll definitely be giving it to small people, but it's not my kind of story the way Princeless is.
