Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson, Audio Version (2014) Patricia Briggs narrated by Alexander Cendese and Lorelei King
Flailing around for something to listen to, I decided that I’d listen to the Patricia Briggs short story collection and then go from there.
This collection has very few Mercy stories in, and several stories with male main characters, hence the split narration duties.
I quite liked Alexander Cendese’s narration of the male lead stories. I’m fine with Lorelei King’s narration of the other stories. It’s not that I dislike her, it’s just that she doesn’t have quite the range for male voices that some of my favorite female narrators do, which is problematic in books with a lot of male characters.
But despite that weakness, I’m now listening to the Mercy Thompson novels, so take that for the endorsement it is.
