This weekend Lily, my cousin Math and his wife Jana’s daughter, was christened.
Lily was named for my grandmother, Lillian. She also wore my grandmother’s christening gown, which was made by my great-grandmother Sophia.

Saturday we went to visit Grandmom. She’s been in a rehab facility relearning to stand up and walk and climb stairs again.
The facility where she is getting her rehab is really marvelous. We went to the back, which is like a small park with huge shade trees and even play areas for kids–very beautiful.
Grandmom still has a lot of work ahead of her, but she’s getting better, and she is in good spirits–thanks again to everyone who has sent her cards–you all are wonderful!

Here are two pictures taken with my new camera yesterday.
Generally, pictures I take of people don’t turn out well, but I like these alright.
How patiently the cats wait for the Treat Lady to dole out the goodies!
Grandmom: What are you two arguing about with the computer?
Michael: Michelle has a database of her books and we’re trying too…
Michelle: Stop. We’re trying to get answers from the computer, and we can’t figure out how to ask the right questions.
Grandmom: Ah!
Most Fridays we get take out from Flying Fish. Grandmom always tries to pay for dinner.
Grandmom: How much was dinner?
Michelle: A millions dollars.
Grandmom: Well, that sounds fair.
While we were gone, apple butter from Janiece arrived.
Being a good granddaughter, I opened the box to make sure nothing had broken, and then closed the box back up for my grandmother.
Since we did the Grandmom exchange with my aunt today, Grandmom finally opened the apple butter.
The jar is now sitting by her chair–presumably so no one else will open it first. :)
Got the apple butter today!
Here are some pictures hot off the digital camera!
