I wanted to shift. I didn’t often, because seriously, what would be the point? None of us did. Personally, I was just really hooked on the opposable thumbs thing that I had as a human. But right then, I wanted to be smaller.

And why would you want to be a fluffy rodent anyway? To fit into shoeboxes? To dust in hard to reach corners?

…my body was the thing that I was in instead of the thought at the back of my mind…
