William Renwick, Earl of Casslebury, always has a plan for everything.
He was four-and-thirty, and it was time he did his duty to the title by producing an heir. Never mind he hadn’t expected to outlive two cousins and an older brother to inherit the title, it was his now, and he would plan accordingly.
Miss Patience Byerly is in London. It is only due to the kindness of the Meldrins, so she is going to thoroughly enjoy it.
With only a Little Season at her disposal, she would take whatever she could get. And common sense told her that when it came to the likes of Lord Casslebury, a few happy memories would be the only thing available to her, regardless of how much time she had in London.
This is such a sweet story.
Patience does keep secrets from William, but she has good reason to do so.
And I do wonder what happened to Caroline.
