Taken, Audio Edition (2014) Benedict Jacka narrated by Gildart Jackson (Alex Verus)

I have clear evidence I read this book (and the two before it) but have almost no memory of reading it.

One of the interesting things about this story was the way Alex was able to manipulate the mind mage who trying to manipulate him.

“I’m not quite sure what you’re talking about.”

I let myself think about the fact that if Crystal was going to be uncooperative it would be faster just to slit her throat and find Vitus’s lair myself.

“Oh, Vitus Aubuchon,” Crystal said hurriedly. “You’re looking for his sanctum?”

It’s still weird I have so few memories of this series or these characters.
