Viscounts & Villainy (2025) Allie Therin (Roaring Twenties Magic #3)

Viscounts & VillainyNovember 1925

Sebastian and Wesley are in New York after the events of the previous book, and Sebastian is trying to learn to live without magic.

It’s not going well. He’s a pacifist who has relied upon his magic to get him out of fights and danger, but now we has no protection but those around him, and isn’t comfortable with that fact. Meanwhile, someone is still after the remaining relics that could control–or destroy–magic, and Sebastia, Wesley, Rory, and Arthur have to stop them.

First, Wesley is adorable, no matter how much he tries not to be.

“No, stop, you’re forbidden from saying anything so outrageously sentimental.”

“But it’s like you were made to be cuddled.”

“How dare you.”

“Stop trying to give me feelings, you absolute menace.”

Second, I like the travel back and forth from England to the US. And the cultural differences between Brits and Americans.

“We’ll follow behind your train tomorrow in the car.”

“It’s a long drive,” Wesley said.

“Respectfully, Wes,” Arthur said patiently, “what you consider a long drive as an Englishman and what I consider a long drive as an American are not the same thing. We’ll be fine.”

The story started in Spellbound is now done, and I’ll miss these characters.
