Prophecy (2000) Elizabeth Haydon

Prophecy

The sequel to Rhapsody, Prophecy continues the story. They are still trying to find the F’Dor who escaped to Sendair. Achmed and Grunthor are continuing to build the Bolg into a nation. Rhapsody meets the dragon Elynsynos, and learns more about Ashe.

As with the previous books, my favorite characters are still Achmed and Grunthor, and I enjoy their banter with each other and with Rhapsody.

Also as with the previous books, things were a lot more detailed that I cared for. At 697 pages, it seemed like it could have been shorter–I could have done with a lot less of Rhapsody–and her boinking.

However, there were several strong points–the story went in several unexpected directions–especially towards the end.

Although there were parts of the story that I enjoyed, there were other parts that I liked less. It continues the tale, however, and takes the story in an interesting direction. However, overall, as good as the story was, parts of it I simply found uninspiring–hence this uninspired review.
Rating: 6/10
