Scarlet Sails (2013) TS Rhodes

This is a short story–a prologue to a series, featuring a female pirate captain.

So I had to check it out.

It’s 1717. Scarlet McGrath is a pirate–captain of her own ship. And she has a problem–they’re low on grog.

It’s a short story, and I’d be very curious to learn how much research the author did and how accurate the historical bits are. It didn’t seem outrageous or ridiculous, and was very enjoyable.

So, I’ll check out the first book in the series.
