After finishing Moon Over Soho, I needed something new to listen to, and since I seemed to be in the mood for supernatural fantasy, I decided to start Patricia Brigg’s Moon Called, especially since I was reading and enjoying her collection of short stories set in Mercy’s world.

I got maybe a quarter or a third of the way in and then gave up.

The narrator just was not working for me at all. She didn’t sound at all like Mercy should, and I really didn’t like the way any of the male characters sounded.

So I just gave up.

The story is still great, but this narration was not working for me at all.
