Today is all about the lazy.

I would like to point out that despite appearances, Kat is not actually broken. He just likes to lie with his paw tucked like that.

Flat Kit is flat.
Last weekend we bought a new brush for Kat, because he’s been shedding like it’s going out of style. We got the “Furminator” and despite the really stupid name, it’s quite impressive.
Wat’s even more impressive, however, is that despite being brushed on three separate days, his coat is still ridiculously thick.

Today has been busy in a rather boring way. The biggest excitement was getting “Furminator” for Kat and taking him outside for a good brushing. I highly recommend the Furminator for cats if you have a cat with a thick coat. Kit’s fur is thin and fine, so the tool won’t be going near her, but Kat has a very thick coat and sheds like nobody’s business.
Otherwise, we spent four hours getting lunch and running errands with Grandmom. No gardening done yet–perhaps around six or so. Or perhaps I’ll just nap.
If you desperately want something to read, I do have two new book reviews up.
Hope your Saturday has been pleasant.
When she doesn’t think we’re going to grab her and put her in the basement, Kit can really relax.

How patiently the cats wait for the Treat Lady to dole out the goodies!

Kat likes to relax in rather strange positions. Thursday night he decided my knees would be an awesome place to hang out.

Normally Kat is the more photogenic of the two, but this week Kit actually sat still long enough for me to get a couple decent pictures.

Here is his furriness looking out over his domain.

You can almost make out the bird feeder hanging from the porch. It’s one of four feeders we have to keep the cats entertained. No comments please on how filthy my window is.
I don’t know about you, but I need some cuteness in my life right now.

This picture is just a little too twee, but that’s how they looked.
I much prefer the picture below.

Thursday was the cats yearly trip to the vet.
As I may have mentioned previously, we don’t crate the cats for travel. We put them in harnesses and on leashes, which works out better for everyone involved.
Aside from some incessant yowling, the trip wasn’t too bad. Especially after Kat decided to come up to the front seat and hang out with Michael.

Although she hid under the seat on the way to the vet’s, once we were there she was relatively calm and relaxed.
Even with the two small dogs barking and growling and yipping and snorting. (Oh yes, they snorted. A lot. Very strange dogs.)

Yes, yes he does occasionally like to stick his head out the window like a dog. But if we drive by a pedestrian, he ducks back into the car until it’s safe again.
It’s back to all Kat all the time apparently.

For someone who hates water, he’s pretty obsessed with the tub.
Yes, it’s that time of the week again!
Mr Furry seems to have gotten over his general pissiness and and although not friendly or anything, has gone back to being cute.

He just looks so soft! And cuddly!
Don’t be fooled. He isn’t.

Even though I’m not using the flash, apparently the soft click click click annoyed him.
Too bad. That was entirely too adorable a shot to pass up.
Michelle: Have you seen my sorts? I seem to be all out of them.
Michael: You left them on the floor and Kit was playing with them.
Michelle: Why would Kit want to play with them, they’re not fun.
Michael: Like we know what looks like a fun toy to a cat.
Michelle: Sure we do: a milk ring.
