Lock, Stock and Peril (2022) Charlie Cochrane (Lindenshaw Mysteries)
Thia ia set during the second year of the pandemic.
Campbell had never been so fit and healthy as over the past year. They’d walked miles with him, singly or together, and when they’d been able to form a bubble with Adam’s mum, she’d volunteered to take him out.
And the pandemic plays a key part in the mystery.
I’m now caught up on this series, and again, the stories are solidly fine. But something about them worked extremely well as comfort reads for me, and for that, I appreciate them.
Except fir this book, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the story and everything to do with me, but I almost stopped reading when the body was discovered, as it brought to mind memories and fears and worries.
But I skimmed and got past that section, and it turned back into a comfort read.
