Walter Cronkite
Books: Autobiography
A Reporter's Life (1996)
I picked this up because I was interested in getting a first hand view of some of the more important events in the 20th century (and because it was in the bargain bin) and ended up purchasing a second copy for my grandmother, I liked it so much.
It also hands-down beat The Greatest Generation which was fascinating but annoyingly written.
