The Shape of Water, Audible Version (1994/2006) Andrea Camilleri narrated by Grover Gardner
I’ve been trying for years to convince Michael to read Andrea Camilleri’s Inspector Montalbano series.
Finally, on a long drive, he agreed to listen to the audio book.
He liked it.
Just as I knew he would.
At first, it felt weird to me that the narrator had an American accent. I mean, it would be silly for him to have a Spanish accent, since he wouldn’t have an accent in his native land (although there are plenty of dialects and accents in this series), but for some reason I had it in my brain he shouldn’t sound American.
Then I decided I was just being silly, and that the American accent allowed me to pay attention to the story, and made the other accents more noticeable.
